For people who suffer from food allergies, we offer an excellent selection of great tasting products that are free of gluten, lactose, soy, and have no MSG added.

Product Attributes

Gluten free

Gluten is the protein found in wheat, barley and rye. It is used as a thickener and filler in many processed meats. Anyone who has a gluten sensitivity, Celiac disease, or dermatitis herpetiformis (a gluten-induced skin sensitivity) should follow a gluten-free diet. Grimm’s Fine Foods is an associate member of the Canadian Celiac Association (http://www.celiac.ca/) and offers many products that are gluten free.

Lactose free

It is estimated that 7 million Canadians are sensitive to lactose, which is a sugar found in milk and other dairy products. Most of Grimm’s meat products are lactose free with the exception of our Smokies with cheese.

No MSG added

Grimm’s does not use Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) to flavour our meat products, the only exception being our Beef Jerky. We prefer to rely on choice ingredients mixed with our family’s secret recipe to create the tasty natural flavour.
